The Language Playground is a multilingual educational atelier in Prague that supports families through language learning and play-based education. Children are immersed in different language classes where they can explore and grow through play, creativity and movement. Adults can join our Czech courses while their little ones play next door - making TLP a place where the whole family can learn and grow together. 

This is a safe and engaging time for children to explore, create and play in the atelier under the guidance of our trained staff — while parents work in our co-working space or run errands nearby. It’s not just babysitting, but a meaningful, creative, and language-rich experience.

We currently offer children's classes in English, Czech and Spanish, with plans to introduce German in the future. Each class is designed to immerse children naturally in the language through stories, games, theatre and art - and yet , teach explicit vocabulary and phrases to enable language acquisition.

Children: We offer classes for children from 18 months to 9 years old, divided into age-specific groups:

• 18 months – 3 years

• 3 – 6 years

• 6 – 9 years

Adults: We also run adult Czech courses with supervised creative play for your little ones.

Our classes are intentionally small — typically 4 to 6 children per group — to ensure personal attention, comfort, and effective learning.

We use a play-based and immersive approach. Children are exposed to the target language naturally through storytelling, movement, art, songs, and role-play — without the pressure of traditional classroom learning.

For children under 3 years old, parents are active participants and accompany their little ones in the class. For older children (3 years old +), classes are drop-off. Parents are always welcome to stay nearby in our co-working room.

Yes! Parents can use our cozy co-working area right next to the atelier. It includes desks, Wi-Fi, a printer, and everything you need to focus while your child enjoys their class or supervised play.

Our teachers are experienced, passionate, and multilingual educators who love working with children. They come from diverse professional and cultural backgrounds, bringing their individual creativity and unique experiences with language.
